Day 70 of 100: New Delhi

Arrived in New Delhi last nite and got a car and driver to show me around. Due to the very relaxing attitude over there, i ordered a car in the morning and finally a driver picked me up at 2pm..so i pretty much spent the whole morning + a few hrs waiting, waiting and waiting..This is my 1st day of adventure in New Delhi. Went to visited this amazing column..sorry dont know the name. I was a bit scared as there were so many people there. Indians paid 25 ruppees (US$0.60 to enter) while foreigners paid $6 for 1 ticket. Therefore, you pretty much dont see line-up for foreigners but the locals would need to line up patiently and usually got yelled at. anyway, i saw these obviously foreigners couple..thats Captain Rafael and his wife from Ontario, Canada. I of course initiated the conversation and they said i was the 1st guy they met in India that is from Canada. so they invited me to tag along with their tour guide. No matter where we went, always a big group of locals surrounding us, oh well..mostly for the blonde lady..and lots of people came to us and wanting to take a pic with us. Most of the time, they just wanted to be in the pic and didnt even want a copy of the pic even though we offered to email them a copy.

Then the driver took me to this lotus temple...very nice and calming with its design. But doesnt it a bit look like the famous Opera house in Sydney?
